Dau Barcelona wants to reintroduce the game to our daily lives. This festival, now celebrating its eighth edition, brings the game to the level of the book and elevates it to the category of culture in capital letters. Organized by the City Council of Barcelona with the Institut de Cultura de Barcelona, it is one of the few festivals in its specialty with free access and which, moreover, is designed to be enjoyed with the family.
Fabra i Coats will host more than 2,500 places to play simultaneously, this time, with more spaces. What can you play? Dau 2019 has ‘Games for Everybody’, ‘Giant Games’, incredibly historical games of Alpha Ares, spaces for the little ones, workshops for creating stuffed animals or bridge, interactive contests with ‘Kahoot’ and even an Escape Room . In addition, activities that extend beyond the Fabra i Coats, talks with creators, tournaments and second-hand gambling markets.
